University of Dubuque

Prospective Students

The seminary is looking for women and men who show strong potential for service to the church. We are looking for people serious about the development of their personal faith as well as evidence of academic talent, strong communication skills, and potential for leadership.

Students may be accepted into either the Master of Divinity (Distance or Residential) or Master of Arts in Religion programs. A student may be accepted under the following categories of entry: as a full- or part-time student in the degree program, as a transfer student, or as an unclassified student.

Campus visits are the best way to learn about the wonderful community at UDTS.  If you would like to schedule a visit, please fill out and submit this form.

Preparation for Ministry
"When I answered the call to ministry, I sought a seminary that would provide me with the necessary training for my vocation. Dubuque Seminary exceeded my expectations. This seminary focuses on preparing pastors for ministry through practical experience in the local church as well as dynamic instruction in the classroom. Attending Dubuque Seminary was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I know that I have been well prepared to serve God's people."
