Through the Seminary Student Council students engage in particular forms of outreach and mission. On campus, the seminary specially welcomes and befriends graduate students from Asia studying in the MBA program; MBA students and seminary students live side-by-side in seminary village. The seminary also seeks to support the college’s Black Student Union, particularly in their outreaches and mission. A variety of university-wide forms of service and outreach provide varied and rich opportunities for seminary students, faculty and state to engage with various groups. Weekly in chapel worship offerings are received to fund identified global and local missions. UDTS has a partnership relationship with Trinity Seminary in Accra, Ghana, and periodically engages in mission and relationship-building with sisters and brothers in Christ there. At least once in each student’s seminary career there is opportunity for short-term mission. Missions in the past have included disaster relief, encouragement and witness and construction with the church in the Dominican Republic, and partnership building in Ghana.
