Dean Message
A Message from the Dean (cont.) The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary offers three graduate theological degree programs: the Doctor of Ministry, the Master of Arts in Religion, and the Master of Divinity (M.Div.). The majority of our students are enrolled in the M.Div. program. Dubuque Seminary also provides two special programs for non-traditional students without an undergraduate degree. The 3/3 program enables qualified students to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Divinity degree in six years. The 3/2 program provides for completion of both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Religion in five years.
At Dubuque Seminary, we take seriously our responsibility to nurture those called to serve the church. Our nurture takes the form of sound Biblical teaching provided by intelligent and compassionate professors ~ most of whom are pastors, first and foremost. The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary is a community where diversity is appreciated and Christian love is practiced. The seminary promotes a zeal for life-long learning and service. We encourage all members of our community to build relationships which foster intellectual, spiritual, and moral development.
We welcome your interest in the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, and invite you to look closely at Dubuque Seminary as God clarifies his call to you.
The Reverend Dr. Bradley J. Longfield
Dean of the Seminary and Vice President of the University
Professor of Church History
