Master of Divinity Distance Degree Program
"I love every convenience of it, the ability to work on courses while also holding a full time job, and the flexibility that this method (online learning) provides." ~ Cheryl Betts |

UDTS has a strong track record for successful distance learning programs, providing a sampling of M.Div. online courses since the summer of 2004. Unclassified students are allowed to take our M.Div. level courses one at a time. This option is perfect for Presbyterian students at non-Presbyterian seminaries who need to complete denomination-specific courses as part of their ordination requirements, or for potential students who want to try a class or two online to get their feet wet before signing up for a full-time program.
In January of 2007 we received approval from the Association of Theological Schools, our accrediting agency, to offer a Master of Divinty degree with courses offered primarily via the internet. Our Distance M.Div. Program combines online courses with residential intensives in a 5-year seminary degree.
Since its founding in 1852, UDTS has offered residential education for pastoral ministry. Now, the traditional M.Div. program is mirrored by a distance education program. The fully accredited distance program enables students to earn a theological education without moving away from their home community.
Whatever you’re doing, UDTS has an online class (or two!) that can fit your needs.
