University of Dubuque Welcomes Students to 2005-2006 Academic Year

With the 2005-2006 academic year set to begin with the start of classes on Monday, August 29, the University of Dubuque campus is alive with activity as students and faculty return to the campus. 

Student athletes began returning to campus, and to intense practice sessions, the week of August 15. This Friday, August 26, they will be joined by the newest members of the student body, the Class of 2009 - 315 first-year and 110 transfer students representing 27 U.S. states and 5 countries. 

This weekend's orientation events organized around the theme- Character: Got It?- are designed to make the transition to university life an enjoyable and successful experience. After checking into their residence halls, students will have the opportunity to attend informational sessions on campus resources and technology/library orientations, and of course, have some fun!
