Oct 10, 2007 | University of Dubuque Theological Seminary

The University of Dubuque kicked off its Dubuque Community Partnership Campaign on Thursday, September 20. The annual fundraising campaign is conducted by over 50 community leaders serving as volunteers. The Dubuque Community Partnership Campaign creates opportunities for area businesses and members of the community to becomePartners in Education by establishing scholarships in their name. Gifts received during this campaign will provide scholarship opportunities for University of Dubuque students.

Tim Breitfelder, chairperson for the Dubuque Community Partnership Campaign and Vice President for Private Client Group at US Bank said of the campaign, "Dubuque is very fortunate to have so many excellent colleges and universities. Our community benefits everyday from the vitality of the current student population as well as the graduates that choose to call Dubuque their home. The Dubuque Community Partnership Campaign is an important way for the community to support University of Dubuque students and promote the growth of the University through scholarships and program funding. The benefits to the Dubuque area will be seen and felt for many years and I am proud to be a part of that future."

As the University of Dubuque continues to grow and achieve record enrollments, partnership opportunities like those available through the Dubuque Community Partnership become
increasingly important in continuing to provide educational opportunities to students regardless of their ability to pay.

"Because of the Dubuque Community Partnership Campaign, many of our students are able to afford an education and accomplish their goals," stated President Jeffrey F. Bullock. "We are grateful to all of the businesses in the Dubuque community who so generously donate to this important scholarship program."
