Severe Weather Presentation

Mar 27, 2008 | University of Dubuque Theological Seminary

The University of Dubuque will sponsor a Severe Weather awareness program, "Severe Weather and You... at Home, Work, and Play" on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m. The program will be held in the Charles and Romona Myers Center (Auditorium, Room146) on the University campus.

The program will be presented by Donna Dubberke, a warning coordination meteorologist with the Davenport office of the National Weather Service. She will be discussing multiple topics concerning severe weather, including thunderstorm and tornado watches and warnings, what to watch for, what to do, and where to go in the event of severe weather. She will also discuss disaster planning and emergency preparedness.

The program will last approximately one hour. This event is FREE and open to the public. This program will provide useful information for outdoor sports teams, campers and campground managers, boaters, and any other persons who enjoy the outdoors in the spring, summer and fall.

Please take some time Tuesday evening, April 8 for some very important, if not life saving information.

Refreshments will be served after the program.
