Archie Lieberman Photograph Display

Now through July, the Charles C. Myers Library will be displaying a sample of photographs from famed photographer Archie Lieberman. Lieberman is best known for his books Farm Boy and Neighbors.  In these two books, Lieberman documents 40 years of farm life as experienced by the people in the town of Schapville, Illinois.  He worked extensively for Look magazine from 1952 to 1972 and his photographs have appeared in Life, Time, Fortune, Collier's, Holiday, London Illustrated, Paris-Match and others. Lieberman has been author of, or photographer for, more than twenty books.

Lieberman's photographs have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States and Canada, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and many locations in Chicago.
