This cohort group will participate in a creative exploration of how a biblical and missional theology of proclamation revitalizes, multiplies, and transforms the mission of the church in and for the world.

Dr. Robert P. Hoch
Assistant Professor of Homiletics and Worship
University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa
An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, Robert Hoch, PhD, brings together the practical experience of the pastor and the work of the scholar. As a homiletician, Rob stresses the importance of the biblical narrative, interpretation, and the contextual and cultural settings for proclamation. He is also deeply interested in exploring the linkage between preaching, the theological imagination, and the missional life of the church in the 21st century.
Dr. Samuel D. Giere
Assistant Professor of Homiletics
Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa
An ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Samuel Giere has a PhD in Old Testament from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and has served Lutheran parishes in North Dakota. He is committed to a sacramental understanding of proclamation and is passionate about the necessity of listening for biblical, missional
preaching.
