UDTS
is a graduate professional school. This presupposes that
all students enrolling in degree programs have graduated
from colleges or universities accredited by an agency recognized
by the Commission of Recognition of Post Secondary Accreditation
or holding membership in the Association of Universities
and Colleges in Canada. In special cases, applicants to
the Master of Arts in Religion and Master of Divinity degree
programs who do not meet all the academic qualifications
may be admitted on Provisional Student status. Conditions
may be placed on a student's acceptance due to the lack
of course work in the humanities or due to low academic
grade
point average.
The
seminary is looking for women and men who show strong potential
for service to the church. We
are looking
for people serious about the development of their
personal faith as well as evidence of academic talent, strong communication
skills, and potential for leadership.
Students
may be accepted into the Master of Divinity or Master of
Arts
in Religion programs twice yearly,
during the Fall and Spring semesters. A student may
be accepted under the following categories of entry: as
a full- or part-time
student
in the degree program, as a transfer student, or as an unclassified student. |

Preparation for Ministry
"When I answered the call to ministry, I sought
a seminary that would provide me with the necessary training
for my vocation.
Dubuque Seminary exceeded my expectations. This seminary
focuses on preparing pastors for ministry through practical experience
in the local church as well as dynamic instruction in the
classroom. Attending Dubuque Seminary was one of the best decisions I've
ever made! I know that I have been well prepared to serve
God's people."
