Every August, UDTS gathers together as a community on campus in Dubuque, Iowa. While the August Residency is required for all of our MDIV and MAMD students, MACL students are also welcome to attend and take courses in person.
During the first two full weeks of August, students attend class Monday - Friday, with a daily break for chapel and lunch. The weekend in between is open for students, but the seminary offers an annual trip to the Field of Dreams Movie Site in nearby Dyersville, Iowa.
The August Residency is a time for connection; for our students to connect with one another, with faculty and staff, with the city of Dubuque, and with God. Students begin lasting friendships during the August Residency, whether during team building exercises at the Four Mounds Ropes Course, or during a quick trip to Mike & Betty's Ice Cream Shoppe while on a class break.
Contact UDTS Admission with any August Residency questions at UDTSAdmission@dbq.edu or 563.589.3115.
