The Gray Havens to Perform at UD’s Heritage Center

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Gray Havens, a husband/wife “narrative-pop-folk” duo, will perform Monday, August 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Heritage Center’s John and Alice Butler Hall on the University of Dubuque campus. Even though admission to the concert is free, a ticket is required.
The Gray Havens, aka Dave and Licia Radford, is known for its poetic imagery and performances that run the spectrum from high-energy songs to acoustic ballads. The group has been hailed as “an imaginative treatment of faith ... (having) a visionary quality that’s both playful and enraptured.” Many of their songs have allusions to the writings of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.
In 2016, The Gray Havens’ third studio album, Ghost of a King, debuted at No. 3 on the iTunes singer-songwriter charts. The album explores the human condition of longing with songs including “Ghost of a King” and “Band of Gold.” The Gray Havens released their debut EP on NoiseTrade in 2013, and they released their first full-length album, Fire and Stone, in 2015.
The concert is funded by the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary Student Council.
Admission is free; however, a ticket is required.
