Fellowship and Recreation

The University of Dubuque and the city of Dubuque afford rich opportunities for recreation and fellowship. The wider university in which the seminary is embedded provides offerings ranging from intramural sports to fine arts performances to collegiate campus ministry. Seminary students are encouraged to engage with the many opportunities provided at the University of Dubuque.

The city of Dubuque has been named an "All American City" twice in the past ten years and includes an excellent department for parks and recreation, multicultural center and activities, multiple museums, the activities of four colleges and universities, and a full program of fine arts - such as the symphony - and schools - such as ballet. Beautiful spaces are maintained along a 35 mile Heritage Trail, and the Mississippi River, for walking, hiking, biking and boating.
